"All I know is I want a big bow" this beautiful, sunny bride-to-be told me when we first started chatting about her dress design. Other than that and the fact she didn't want anything too "fussy" or "too fleshy", she was pretty open to suggestions.
An unfitted bodice is a slightly more laid back approach which I thought would work well for this super chilled out client. It's so flattering when paired with a skirt sculpted to fit the body closely. It also lent itself to a gorgeous open back detail which hangs beautifully and overlaps slightly at the small of the back.
We decided at the last minute to add a pretty trim to the back: sometimes the smallest details make all the difference.
The big bow has long ties which act as a sash, bringing volume and movement to the skirt and swooshing in the most amazing way when Emily walked.
